From the chaotic streets of Surabaya to freezing volcanic peaks at 4 AM, East Java showed us a side of Indonesia that many tourists never see.
🌋 After starting our honeymoon in Sri Lanka (Episode 1), we flew into Java, a place with virtually no crowds, where narrow alleys double as living rooms, and local kids invited us into their daily lives. From playing street football and exploring quiet colorful villages to standing above blowing smoke on Mount Bromo and discovering hidden coffee farms in Banyuwangi, this journey tested us in the best possible way.
Because the hardest moments - the dust, the cold, and the unexpected detours - are usually the ones that bring you closer together.
📌 Highlights in this film:
• Unfiltered street life in Surabaya & local kids
• The famous colorful village (Jodipan) in Malang
• Freezing 4 AM sunrise & volcanic landscapes of Mount Bromo
• Local coffee farming & village hospitality in Banyuwangi
• Finding quiet moments between raw adventure & hotels

Have you ever explored the non-touristy side of Indonesia? We know visiting other islands would yield no tourists at all, but we were surprised that we saw almost no international ones, and we were pretty close to Bali.
