When You Have a Borrowed Faith | Undomesticated

You can spend your whole life around God and never actually know Him. In Acts 19, seven sons of a Jewish high priest try to cast out a demon “by the Jesus whom Paul proclaims,” and it goes very badly for them. They had the right words, the right family, and the right religious background, but their faith was borrowed. Twenty years earlier, Paul had the same problem. He knew more about God than almost anyone, yet he had never met Him until the road to Damascus. In Week 2 of Undomesticated, Pastor Justin Goodson looks at how a secondhand faith becomes firsthand. It moves from knowing about God to actually encountering Him. We’ll see that: You can experience God’s presence. You can hear God’s voice through His Word, His Spirit, and His people. Is your faith yours, or are you living on someone else’s? 📖 Scripture: Acts 19:11–16 · Acts 9:1–21 About the series: Undomesticated walks through the book of Acts to show how bold, extreme, and countercultural following Jesus was always meant to be, and how we’ve tamed it. 🔗 Connect with Pillars Church Website: www.pillarschurch.com Give: www.pillarschurch.com/give Instagram: www.instagram.com/mypillarschurch Facebook: www.facebook.com/mypillarschurch Pillars Church | Wentzville, Missouri #Undomesticated #BookOfActs #PillarsChurch #WentzvilleMO #Sermon #Faith #HearingGodsVoice
