After completing his final diagnostic checks, Unit 001 is cleared for active duty and returns to the streets. Driving his police cruiser through the industrial districts of Old Detroit, RoboCop detects suspicious activity ahead. His infrared targeting system identifies an armed criminal threatening a civilian inside a remote warehouse sector. Target acquired. RoboCop leaves the patrol car and moves in. What begins as a routine police patrol becomes a tense confrontation involving gunfire, a hostage situation and an armed suspect who refuses to surrender. RoboCop responds with the cold precision of his programming while Detroit Police backup moves in to secure the scene. The civilian survives. The suspects are neutralized or taken into custody. And when the incident is over, Unit 001 simply returns to the streets. For Old Detroit, it was another night. For RoboCop, it was another directive.
