In this video I am shooting my Aero Precision Solus pistol, with an 8.3" barrel with a 1:7" twist rate, sitting in their 7.5" Comp Chassis. I'm running my new Thunderbeast Ultra-7 Gen2 .30 Cal suppressor head-to-head against my Otter Creek Labs Hydrogen-S 7.62 suppressor. Both cans are running an Otter Creek Labs 5/8x24 ZR0-DTA direct-thread mount.
On the back, i'm running a JMac Customs 1913 Folding Mech, with a JMac Customs AB9R bar, and a Gearhead Works Mod1C pistol brace.
The pistol has a TriggerTech Special trigger set @ 1 lbs. , an MDT 10-rd .223 AICS magazine, and (soon) an ERGO Ambi SureGrip on it. It has a Primary Arms SLx 1-10x28 ACSS Griffin M10S MIL scope, in a set of Arken 34mm rings on top of the built-in 20MOA base that is machined into the top of the receiver as standard equipment.
I'm shooting subsonic factory Hornady Sub-X 190 Gr. ammo for a consistent test. Also, these shoot really good out of this pistol.
I'm shooting steel gongs @ 300 yards...Even though with the fans you really can't hear the impacts. It was 100ºF today, so I was running every fan in the range house to keep the cans cool. Once Fall & Winter roll around and things cool down, I'll be able to get much better audio comparisons. So, subscribe and stay tuned!
I get all of my Suppressors, Tax Stamps, and Trusts through Silencer Shop.
