Complete Abandoned Courtyard Restoration & Sunroom Build | by @RenovationProcess

An overgrown, abandoned courtyard buried under decades of decay is completely stripped back to its foundation for an unbelievable structural resurrection. Watch as forgotten ruins are reclaimed and transformed into a breathtaking, modern sanctuary. Before the beautiful finishing touches could begin, the property required intense structural reclamation. The earth was manually excavated and compacted, while decaying brickwork was fortified with heavy cement plaster to create a monolithic shield against the elements. The builders then completely rebuilt the gatehouse roof, fabricated massive custom wooden furniture on-site, and welded a rigid steel skeleton to support a sweeping courtyard canopy. A major turning point arrived when vintage iron grates were carefully removed to make way for a stunning, custom-built glass sunroom that seamlessly blends the historic footprint with bright, modern utility. The final phase shifts from heavy masonry to meticulous landscaping, turning the barren dirt lot into a thriving ecosystem. A custom cement pond is hand-built with massive stones to house live fish, while raised planter boxes and a dedicated PVC irrigation system sustain towering transplanted trees and vibrant flowers. What started as a dilapidated hazard is now a fully functional, self-sustaining outdoor living space where heavy architecture and delicate nature operate in perfect harmony.
