Loope the 'Lupe - Running an obstacle 5k in Seattle

In June of 2026, I ran the Loope the 'Lupe, an obstacle course 5k in Walt Hundley Playfield Park, Seattle. You have five options to choose from: 1/ Elite Wave (obstacle 5k), 2/ Family Wave (obstacle 5k), 3/ Fun Run (no obstacles 5k), 4/ Silver Saunter, 5/ Youth Dash. I chose the Family Wave since Elite Wave sounded a bit too scary and later realized that there's no need to be scared since Elite Wave is just the adult version of the obstacle 5k! It does include two extra obstacles that are a bit scarier: Teeter Totters and Barrel Crawl. The "Loop" is a 1k course with obstacles, so you need to complete five loops to finish the full 5k.
