This was a completely DIY elk hunt using elk hunting strategies and elk hunting tips we've acquired through the years. We were able to spend five days scouting for elk prior to the start of the elk hunting season. Arizona elk hunting can be challenging, especially as the rut is not quite going strong yet and elk bugling is limited. Public land elk hunting also adds the challenge of other hunters chasing the same elk during the hunting season, so each day was a learning experience to find the best hunting locations. Some days it felt like we needed some elk hunting tips for beginners, but eventually we were able to find the elk.
