Laudate Dominum, Omnia Opera (Majestic Creation Hymn of St. Francis)

Welcome to Cantica Benedicta - Songs of Faith & Sacred Prayer. "All you works of the Lord, bless the Lord; praise and exalt Him above all forever." (Daniel 3:57) In honor of the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi (October 4th), we present "Laudate Dominum, Omnia Opera" (Praise the Lord, All Creation). Inspired by the great biblical hymns of praise (Daniel 3 and Psalm 148) and St. Francis’s timeless Canticle of the Creatures (Laudato Si'), this hymn is a joyful, radiant celebration of the cosmos. From Brother Sun and Sister Moon to the rushing waters, fertile earth, and humble hearts that choose peace and pardon, all creation forms one single, eternal choir of praise to the Maker. Featuring the brilliant, festive stops of a cathedral pipe organ and the soaring polyphonic harmonies of a grand mixed choir, let this hymn fill your spirit with the wonder and joy of God's creation! 🎨 The Visual Experience: The artwork in this video is inspired by the serene Italian landscapes of the High Renaissance and 19th-century Romanticism (Giovanni Bellini and Claude Lorrain). Watch as the sunlit hills of Umbria, peaceful wildlife, and the golden light of Assisi bring the canticle of praise to life on your screen. 📅 New sacred hymns published every Friday.
