Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2022 Hyundai Tucson, we're going to be showing you how to install the Curt Custom Fit Trailer Wiring Harness. But before we do that, let's take a couple minutes, check this out and make sure it's going to work for you. One of the things you need to think about if you plan on pulling a trailer around is how you're going to illuminate the lights on that trailer. That way you're not only safe but legal as well. And that's where a wiring kit like this Curt one is going to come into play. So this is going to have a four-way flat style connector which is really common, especially for the types of trailers that the Tucson will be pulling. And this will provide the trailer with the signals, you know, you'll get your turn signals, your brake lights as well as your tail lights. So if your trailer has an end on it similar to this one here, this kit's going to work for you. I'll allow you to plug those two in and send everything back to your trailer. So when it comes to actually mounting this up to your Tucson, you got a couple options. You can set it up like we did today where you can just use the dust cover to loop around the hitch and then I put some wire loom on just to kind of hide the wires, you know, clean up the install look a little bit more or you can get some brackets. In our case it looks like a long bracket, and a four-way bracket, you detached to the hitch and then you can kind of mount this up, something like this. So choice is entirely up to you. But aside from that, you know, there's really not a whole lot to this kit. You know, it'll send the signals back and get everything powered up. One of the great things about this setup is the fact that this is going to work with a factory connector plug. So on the driver's side of your vehicle, right here in this area, there's going to be a factory plug and this kit literally just plugs into it, so it does not get any easier. You know, it utilizes what's already there from the factory and is a great thing, you know. So that makes the installation of breeze. You plug it in, zip tie everything up to secure it, run your wire over here and that's all there is to it. So just about anyone should be able to get this done. But if you'd like to hang around, we'll go ahead and get started on it now. To begin our installation, we're going to be underneath the back of our Tucson and we're going to be working on the driver's side. We're going to locate a factory connector plug right here in this area. So right here in this little bundle, this is where our factory connector plug's going to be located. Alright, and from the factory it's going to have this little protective cap on it, you can remove that. So just kind of squeeze down on the tab, unplug it. Not going to use this again so get rid of it. And our new trailer wiring harness is going to match up with that connector. So that'll literally just plug right in and then we can open up our fuse holder, take the included fuse and put that into position. So what I've done now is secured our box here and essentially I just kind of zip tied everything up to the factory bundled wire there to keep it secure. And then our four-way flat wiring, we can route that towards the center of our vehicle by our hitch and I just kind of looped it around, kind of up behind our bumper there where it's going to drop out by our trailer hitch. So it just comes down and I like to give, you know, a little bit of slack there, that way have something to work with. And what we're going to do is just secure it to our hitch using the dust cover. This should do the trick and what I think I might even do as well is get some wire loom, put it over this just to kind of help it blend in and give it a little extra protection. I put our wire loom over there just to kind of clean it up. And you can buy this by the foot here from etrailer. I'd probably use one foot of it. But it's good idea to test the wiring now. So I like to use a small tester as opposed to just plugging into your trailer. You know, that way if your trailer has any issues it might mislead into thinking it's something we did on the vehicle side. So this will kind of avoid that potential issue.
