Every day at my tiny nail salon in Taiwan, nail dust gets all over me. My old dust collector was too weak, so after years of "not yet", I spent NT$2,770 on a new one. This is my life in Taiwan as a Vietnamese wife: a dizzy afternoon at work, a friend's hot cocoa, a call home to my flooded village, and an unboxing at the end of a long day. 🌸 In this video: ・New nail dust collector: NT$2,416 + NT$354 shipping = NT$2,770 (≈ US$86.8 · €77.4 · £65.5) ・A customer helped me order it from China. It took 11 days. ・Cat-eye gel nails at my nail salon: from NT$850 (≈ US$26.6 · €23.7 · £20.1) ・Gel removal: NT$100 with a new set · NT$200–300 on its own ・Mien vit (duck glass noodles) from my sister's eatery 🔤 Please turn on CC and choose your subtitle language. ⏱ CHAPTERS 0:00 Nail dust, every day 0:34 Morning: life in Taiwan with my in-laws 1:37 My heart is back home: flood season in Vietnam 4:56 First customer at my nail salon 7:47 Customer two 9:37 Lunch & a call home 11:55 Customer three 12:58 Dizzy at work, a friend's hot cocoa 16:16 Unboxing my new dust collector 20:05 Why I waited so long 21:26 Showing it to the customer who ordered it 22:21 Taking out the trash in the rain 23:06 My husband waits on the stairs 24:37 Behind the scenes I'm Xiao Cui, 38, a Vietnamese wife running a nail salon on my own.
