The Bug Club 'Picture This!'

Tickets: https://linktr.ee/thebugclubband Bandcamp: https://thebugclub.bandcamp.com Lyrics: Picture this The prettiest word that I ever heard came from San Diego a Capricorn with eyes so warm you'd snuggle up inside the silliest thing I ever seen happened in the bathroom and you can choose to win or lose but it happens all the time So use me like a playing card that's missing from the pack choose me when you fall apart and I'm not going back to bed The loneliest girl in this part of the world is sleeping in my basement but no one understands what they are hearing The ugliest dream I ever did dream the scene was set for something sinister but I've never believed in Fairy tales could never tell what happens in the end and I'm the one who's writing down what others can't pretend to see The happiest worm I ever turned away and put my foot on is flatter than the hat I wear on Mondays pepper all the anecdotes and pile up all the lemons the wedding bells won't ring until it's Sunday The graveyards getting fuller by the minute so I'm told and the daffodils look prettier each day that I can't hold your hand I’m a little teapot with a pistol for a spout count how many you've got and then throw a couple out the love I knew in every moon before this current crescent has hidden all the superglue and fallen out of heaven the keeper couldn't capture every moment in a frame the sleepers on the turnstile wouldn't look the other way the audience keeps laughing at the wrong part of the joke so analyse the answers quickly count up every vote while the couples start the engines so that summer can begin our mothers tried pretending we were only ever friends I don't understand a single word that you just said use it in a sentence that I want to hear in bed the pantry's nearly empty and the songs are getting cold the medicine won't mend me and my hair is looking old the walkie talkie's humming and there's someone stuck inside they sound a bit like someone that I never really liked the astroturf is grazing every edge that it can see judo throw the babies while the ladies brush their teeth oh and every single movie's so much better than the last hide me in the sequel in the corner at the back and shine the biggest spotlight on my chubby little face the radios will explode with a well delivered rage oh and anybody listening wouldn't ever sound the same oh and anybody listening wouldn't ever know my name in between the letters any average eye can see a feeling I forget until it's happening to me gone without a warning and then here forever more board up every window and then open all the doors Close all the union halls I don't have the eyeballs for battle fetch me the shiniest horse and I'll catch a bullet in my skull and suddenly I'm a born again Christian schoolboy I'm the piano man in the promised land hotel I'm the spokesman for no one you care about I am I am done.
