Adirondacks for All [FULL FILM]

Rediscover the forgotten history of diversity in the Adirondacks. Explore the land through the enduring connection of the Mohawk people, the pursuit of racial justice by pre-Civil War Black settlers, the often-overlooked role of women in conservation, and the complex relationship between the pristine wilderness and issues of incarceration. The Adirondack Park is celebrated for its commitment to Wilderness: forever reserved for the free use of all the people. In recent years many have questioned whether it has lived up to this idea. Environmental justice in the Adirondacks emerges from the region's unique history and inclusive sense of belonging and a shared commitment to stewardship, acknowledging the struggle for freedom while confronting legacies of exclusion with the ultimate goal of an Adirondacks For All.
