Big Permaculture News & Goal! 🌱 We’ve been given an incredible opportunity to take part in a major fundraising event for our permaculture project! To participate and receive funds, we need to register a U.S. LLC, which costs $450. Hitting this goal unlocks vital growth for our work. If you’re able to buy us a coffee or share this post, it would mean the world! Thank you for your support! 💚 https://ko-fi.com/thefoodforestnamibi... In this video, we take a tour down our dry riverbed at The Food Forest Namibia to show you the preparations and structures we’ve put in place before the rainy season begins. From earth check dams and soil ponds to brush barriers and organic mulch traps, each structure is designed to: Slow the velocity of flash floods to prevent heavy soil erosion. Trap silt, seeds, and organic matter that feed our soil biology. Recharge the local groundwater table to keep our trees and crops thriving through the dry months.
