We Took Nonni to Disney World! (Part 1)

Come along with us as we celebrate Nonni's 80th 🎂 🎉 at Walt Disney World. She hasn't been to Walt Disney World in over 35 years. Day 1 - Arrival day at Saratoga Springs Resort , one of Disney's DVC properties! This is a beautiful resort modeled after Saratoga Springs, New York from the late-1800s! Victorian and equestrian 🐴 themed! Love all the horses (especially in the lobby-all the pictures are famous Disney horses) Come tour our 2 bedroom accommodations 🏨. We 💗 Saratoga Springs since it's so peaceful and serene but also so close to Disney Springs 🛍️...by walking or by boat 🚤 . Our 2-bedroom room was at the Paddock. This section of Saratoga was great since after a long day at the park it's the 3rd stop at being dropped off as well as 3rd to be picked up. We also grabbed a bite at The Artist Palette, the quick service restaurant here. It has quite a variety of food to choose from ranging from pizza, rice bowls, burgers, chicken tenders, and etc! Then come with us as we take a boat ride over to the Port Orleans Resort- French Quarter. Here Nonni tried beignets for the first time! We had to try the holiday one as well, The Ghoulish Beignets 👻 ! These are the Halloween speciality treat until October 31st 🎃 . They are Cookies-and-cream powdered sugar and topped with a marshmallow creme drizzle. They were great but our favorite is still the traditional one with caramel on the side. Yummy! Of course we end our day with some shopping at the Port Orleans store, Jackson Square Gifts & Desires. More 🛍️!!
