Loop of Meadows in the Quehanna Wild Area: Day 1

On this trip, Dan ‪@backpackingadventures4813‬ and I head deep into the Quehanna Wild Area to explore the Loop of Meadows. This loop was drawn up by Jeff Mitchell who has written numerous books on backpacking and hiking in Pennsylvania. This loop definitely lived up to the hype. It utilizes numerous side trails adjacent to the Quehanna Trail to guide hikers through some of the most unique landscapes in the northeast with sections west of the Quehanna Highway seemingly transporting hikers to the Dolly Sods of West Virginia. While the terrain is mild, hikers need to stay vigilant to keep on the correct trails as you never spend more than a few miles on any given trail.
