This video is for competitive FPS players who want to improve their ranked performance and are wondering whether warming up before playing actually makes a difference. I warmed up before every ranked session for 100 days straight to find out if it would improve my aim, performance, and rank, and the biggest result had surprisingly little to do with mechanics. The experiment showed me that the real value of warming up is getting your brain ready to compete before your first ranked game. Instead of using your first few matches to wake up, warming up helped me enter ranked already focused, make better decisions, and get more value from the games I was already playing. I’ll explain how warming up affected my consistency, why raising your performance floor can matter more than raising your ceiling, and how this connects to the biggest lesson I learned during my Season 10 ranked grind in The Finals: quality matters more than quantity. I’ll also explain why you don't need an hour-long routine and how a simple 10–15 minute warm-up can help you get more out of every ranked session. I have placed 1st at the UW Engineering project competition sponsored by Starbucks. I’ve also developed and launched my own game on Steam to reach $12,000 peak single-month revenue. Combining my engineering background with my FPS expertise, I have created Gridshot Lab. This is my platform for sharing the unique improvement systems I developed to hit the leaderboards in any game I play. I will also be documenting the development of the first of its kind aim training mice that actually improves your performance in-game rather than just shaving off a few grams.
