Wike Unveils Rainbow Coalition Candidates, Challenges Amaechi Over Alleged $10m Rivers Project

FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has challenged former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi over an alleged $10 million fumigation project during his administration. Speaking at the Rainbow Coalition's candidate unveiling in Port Harcourt, Wike questioned the project's results and referenced Amaechi's vice-presidential ambitions, asking whether he would extend the same initiative across Nigeria. The remarks came as Wike presented the coalition's preferred candidates for the 2027 elections, including Kingsley Ogundu Chinda and his running mate, Major Jack, while mobilising support for President Bola Tinubu's re-election bid. Wike's claims about the expenditure remain allegations.
