L'Oréal Colour Trophy 2012 Scottish Regional Final & Winners

LOCAL HAIRDRESSERS WILL MAKE THEIR NATIONAL MARK! On April 12th 2012 Hilton Hotel, 1 William Street, Glasgow played host to the Scottish Regional Final of the glamorous L'Oréal Colour Trophy Awards. The 'Hair Inspired by Fashion' event awarded six of the most trend led, creative local hairdressers a place in the prestigious Grand Final in London. The successful six salons that impressed the judging panel with their model look included Gallagher Horner Hair, Glasgow, Copperfields Hairdressing & Beauty, Perth, Alan Edwards, Glasgow and Chaplins, Falkirk for the L'Oréal Colour Trophy women's category and Couper & Co Hairdressing & Beauty, Falkirk, Jason Hall Hairdressing, Edinburgh for the L'Oréal Men's Image Award. Each salon will now go on to take their amazing model looks and concepts to the The jubilant evening also celebrated five of the region's most promising young colourists that have won a place in their national live final leaving them just one step away from becoming part of the acclaimed L'Oréal Colour Academy, A concept designed to nurture and develop young hairdressing talent, helping them to uncover their full career potential. These included Stephanie Morgan from TONI&GUY Edinburgh, Hazel Livingstone from Couper&Co Hairdressing and Beauty in Falkirk, Andrew Mitchell from Alan Edwards in Glasgow, Lee McKay from Ellen Hair Design in Aberdeen and Leanna Sutherland from Evocativ in Inverness. The highly anticipated Regional tour hit over seven regions up and down the UK and finished with a bang in Glasgow transforming the venue into true style hubs in search for Britain's most talented and creative hairdressers. Celebrity host Phil Clifton, (pictured) current presenter of C4s Freshly Squeezed and recent backstage reporter at The Brits took the audience through the high energy, show. Just before the long awaited awards were read out the audience were treated to a truly gorgeous fashion show by acclaimed London Fashion Week designer Kinder Aggugini with an exclusive collection taken straight from the runways of his 2012 Autumn /Winter and Spring /Summer Fashion Week shows. Each of the award winning salon teams will now get set to take their stunning model look to the epic catwalk during the highly anticipated 57th annual L'Oréal Colour Trophy Grand Final. This super glamorous event is happening on Monday 28th May inside the dazzling Grosvenor House Ballroom, Park Lane, London and assembles the country's most artistic and accomplished hairdressers alongside high profile singers and national fashion ambassadors. The team will be handed their award by a high profile celebrity presenter, in the past these have included Graham Norton, George Lamb and Sara Cox.
