Medan Pasar, also known as Old Market Square, is being revitalised as part of Kuala Lumpur’s transformation into a more walkable, accessible and climate-resilient city. Surrounded by historic pre-war shophouses and the iconic Medan Pasar Clock Tower, this area has been part of Kuala Lumpur’s story since the late 19th century. The clock tower itself dates back to 1937, while the surrounding heritage architecture reflects the early development of Kuala Lumpur as a major trading city.
