The ENTIRE Story of Deuteronomy: Moses’ Last Words to the People He Had to Leave Behind

On the plains of Moab, Moses transforms Israel’s failed past into a final covenant appeal before a new generation enters the Promised Land without him. This documentary presents the complete biblical story of Deuteronomy, covering all thirty-four chapters and revealing why Moses’ last address would shape Israel’s future beyond the Jordan. Rather than reenacting the Exodus, Moses retells Israel’s journey from Horeb through rebellion, wilderness judgment, and victory over Sihon and Og. He renews the covenant, explains God’s commands for worship, justice, leadership, family life, warfare, generosity, and care for the vulnerable, and warns of the practical consequences of obedience and rebellion. Before Israel crosses the river, Moses sets blessing and curse before the people and urges them to choose life by loving the Lord and remaining faithful to his word. The story continues through the public renewal of the covenant, Joshua’s commission, Moses’ song of witness, and his final blessing over the tribes. It concludes on Mount Nebo, where Moses sees the land he cannot enter, dies, and is buried in Moab. Joshua stands filled with the spirit of wisdom, while Israel’s next movement lies across the Jordan under the enduring witness of Moses’ final words.
