On Location Photography: Twisleton Scar, Yorkshire Dales National Park

I headed over to the Yorkshire Dales in the hope of some nice light around sunrise, but unfortunately that never materialised. Despite being a little disappointed to start with, I was fortunate to experience some wonderful light later, in the form of some dramatic crepuscular rays raking along the valley with the magnificent peak of Ingleborough as a backdrop. Twisleton and the surrounding area is geologically spectacular in the form of a rocky limestone pavement known as Karst, which has been shaped over millennia by the natural forces of weather and glacial action.
