Check it out here: http://www.cclemon99.com/2017/08/the-... ---------------------- Welcome to my review of the Super Sentai Artisan Dragon Buckler [ドラゴンバックラー] from Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger [恐竜戦隊ジュウレンジャー]. I'm back...! This is the first video I'm uploading since my big 10-year anniversary video. Some people were wondering if I was going to continue the trend and review this to mark the 10 years. I mean, I did look at the 1992 version for my 1-year anniversary. I thought that I would take myself outside for a change...you know, try something new. Shake things up. Keep things interesting. Make something worthwhile. I did basically the opposite of what Bandai did with this toy... Super Sentai Artisan Dragon Buckler comes with the holster and both Dragonranger and Tyrannoranger's Medals. As with the Super Sentai Artisan Dino Buckler, this is a premium reprint of the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers Legacy Power Morpher. In this case, it's a reprint of the Green Ranger / White Ranger version as you can see from the gold color of the faceplates. Maybe I was a little bit harsh when I criticized this toy in the intro. If this toy does one thing well, it's through sounds. The three long sounds included are two different sections of the Dragonranger BGM as well as a portion of Dragon Caesar's song. It even features the Zyusouken sound when you flip the switch on...nice touch. The short sounds are pretty weak, though. I would have rather had the proper Henshin sound effect even if the Dino Buckler couldn't manage it. Also worth pointing out is that the Medals are completely different from previous releases. Between the Super Sentai Artisan Dino Buckler, Shugoju Medal Set, and this there are three different types of Tyrannosaurus Medals. The Dino Buckler was almost blank on the back, the Medal set had and elaborate Zyuranger design, and this one has a small "Z" in the middle. Ummm...interesting..... Basically every negative I had about the Dino Buckler applies to this. It's far too expensive, far too shiny, far too inaccurate and really not worth the bother unless you have the cash to burn on a Henshin Item collection (I cancelled my SP License orders...Bandai can pound sand if they want me to blindly spend cash anymore). At least the Dino Buckler had the Dino Crystal, even if it was utter crap. You know what absolutely should have been included with this? A replica of Burai's candle. Hell, even a small Clotho figure would have been a worthwhile addition. I enjoy the new sounds, but making a few programming changes and tweaking some existing medals almost makes this lazier than the Dino Buckler. I gave this thing the same rating I gave the Dino Buckler. It's so...middle of the road. I mean, I'm not particularly wowed by the sounds since I own all of the Zyuranger CDs, so eh. In a post Super Sentai Artisan Aura Changer / Kiba Changer world, they really should have gotten Yuuta Mochizuki and Shiro Izumi back in to record some new lines. It doesn't seem like it would be outside the realm of possibility. I definitely would have bumped up the score accordingly... So there it is...my big return to Youtube. When I was making this video I realized how much I missed doing it. You can definitely expect more from me moving forward, but I don't intend on returning to the weekly format.
