Two warriors. One forgotten war. No escape from the end of everything. The Last Enemies is a cinematic metal journey through hatred, pride, mortality, and ultimately, forgiveness. Two warriors, sworn enemies, find themselves stranded on a fragment of Earth, torn from the planet by an unimaginable catastrophe and cast into the endless darkness of space. Alone on their drifting island, with no armies to command, no kingdoms to conquer, and no one left to witness their victories, they continue a war whose origins have long been forgotten. But their world is moving towards a cosmic singularity — a black hole from which even light cannot escape. As the darkness draws closer, they must confront a question neither has ever dared to ask: Was it worth it at all? THE INSPIRATION BEHIND THE SONG As a young reader in Greece, I came across a haunting science-fiction story in a Greek comic magazine. I can no longer remember the title, the author, or even exactly which magazine published it. Some of the details have faded, but I never forgot its central idea. Two warriors, one an Indian fighter and the other a barbarian, trapped together on a fragment of Earth floating through the emptiness of space. Eternal enemies, continuing their struggle even as their tiny world approached its inevitable destruction. I remember being deeply struck by the tragedy and futility of their conflict — and by the realization that, in the face of annihilation, their hatred had become meaningless. That story stayed somewhere in the back of my mind, waiting to be rediscovered. I wanted to bring that childhood memory to life through music, lyrics, and cinematic imagery. The Last Enemies is my own musical interpretation of a story I never truly forgot. It is not simply about two warriors lost in space. It is about the wars we fight, the hatred we inherit, the pride we refuse to surrender, and the precious things we lose while trying to defeat one another. It is about realizing, sometimes far too late, that the person we have spent our lives fighting may be the only one who truly understands us. And above all, it is about forgiveness. Because when everything else is taken away, perhaps the greatest victory is finally finding peace. HELP ME REDISCOVER THE ORIGINAL STORY If you remember reading Greek comic magazines such as Agori, Blek, or similar publications, perhaps this story sounds familiar. I remember it as a black-and-white comic, possibly serialized across several issues. I would genuinely love to discover its original title and creator, and give recognition to the imagination that inspired this song. If you recognize it, please leave a comment!
