Something (written by George Harrison) is off of the Beatles 1969 album Abbey Road.
"Something" received the Ivor Novello Award for the "Best Song Musically and Lyrically" of 1969. By the late 1970s, it had been covered by over 150 artists, making it the second-most covered Beatles composition after "Yesterday". (source: Wikipedia)
I have arranged this song in a way that is approachable for both low and high G tuned ukuleles, and have kept the melody primarily on the first string, which makes it a bit easier on folks new to looking at tab. It's in the key of C, which is the same as the original.
This song gave me lots of fuel for ukulele technique: we looked at movable 3-string chords as they related to the song. One is based on the G chord, while the other is based on the Am. We also touched on a third chord shape, but focus on the first two.
This is a beautiful song, and the more I play it, the more I want to keep playing it!!
