Today's Devotion:
365 Daily Devotions: Bible Characters Edition
The Heart of the Problem is the Problem of the Heart
📖 Bible Readings: Esther 6–7
👨🏻💻 Teachings:
Three Things About Haman:
1 Haman’s heart was insatiable.
2 Haman’s downfall was caused by his pride.
3 Haman fell into his own trap.
💪🏼 Applications:
1 Be satisfied and happy with what you have.
2 Examine your heart for blinding pride.
3 Rejoice with those who are ahead of you.
🎙 Discussion:
Why is the human heart insatiable? What is the cure for the problem of the human heart?
🤿 Dive Deeper:
Why is the Book of Esther a book of reversals?
🙏🏼 Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for every blessing You have graciously given me. Teach me to be satisfied with what I have and to find my deepest contentment in Christ. Search my heart and expose any pride, jealousy, or selfish ambition that blinds me to Your goodness. Give me the humility to celebrate the success and blessings of others without envy or comparison. Remind me that everything I have comes from Your gracious hand. Guard my heart from becoming like Haman’s—always wanting more. Instead, make me grateful, humble, and joyful as I trust Your perfect plan for my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
