A narrated walkthrough of Steps 00–05 of Workflow 04 for LAAR 61400 Representation + Computation, MLA program, City College of New York (CCNY).
A landform is built by hand in Rhino two ways, Patch Everything and Split → Patch → Join. Their contours are compared, first with Rhino's Contour command and then live in Grasshopper.
Learning objectives: understand how surfaces behave, so you can work with AI tools like Claude in Rhino:
• Specify — describe a landform in design terms: breakline, section, peak, grade
• Evaluate — read the contours to see where water goes and where the form misses the intent
• Direct — know which input to change next and what it will do to the form
