Project I.G.I.: I’m Going In # 1 Trainyard

So, here we have an old-school shooter from 2000 — actually one of the very first games I ever played on PC. For its time, the graphics were excellent, the difficulty was brutal — a single sniper bullet or a burst from an AK could kill you — and worst of all, you couldn't save during missions. The first mission is pretty simple: infiltrate the base and steal a truck. I've played it dozens of times, so I still remember exactly where everyone is — including that sniper with the SVD. But even this time, things didn't quite go according to plan. Just as I reached the truck, some enemies from the far barracks spotted me and started shooting through the wall! So I had to run around and clear the entire base. At least it gave me a chance to demonstrate how shooting through wooden walls works — and also what the medkit and healing animation look like. A syringe gun straight into the wrist. Pretty disturbing, actually.
