Operation Nightfall | This Mod Made Me Feel Lonely In A Completely Different Way To ODST

Operation Nightfall takes Halo 3's Sierra 117 and reimagines it from the perspective of an ODST, turning the mission into a dark nighttime operation through the jungle. And I mean dark. VISR is practically mandatory here. Beyond the visual transformation, there seem to be changes to health and combat that reinforce just how vulnerable you are as an ODST. A few stray plasma bolts nearly killed me more than once. What surprised me most, though, was the atmosphere. Somewhere along the way, sneaking through that dark jungle started giving me the same somber, melancholy loneliness I associate with Halo 3: ODST—but in a completely different way. This mod is still in development, with only the first mission, "Discovery," currently available. I'm looking forward to seeing where the author takes it. Played on Normal difficulty.
