Michael Jackson /// Thriller (1982) Bass cover with playalong, tabs and notation

Here´s my take on this epic tune from Thriller. This bassline was originally performed by Greg Phillinganes on a ARP 2600 synthesizer, and the synth sound was programmed by Anthony Marinelli (check out how he did that here:    • How I Programmed Michael Jackson's "Thrill...  ). I feel this programmers in the early days of synthesizers dont get the appreciation that they deserves, really mastery stuff! Also the feel of this bass line is really difficult to get right, it has a light swing feel that gives the song the hard bounce it has. Also it has some quick licks here and there that will give you a fun challenge. I really worked hard to find the right bass and effects to match the sound, but then I tried preset nr 3 on my Panda Audio Future Impact v3 pedal that was just ridiculously similar. So the signal chain is just this pedal and a Navigator P-bass with flats.
