Growing up Mormon, alcohol wasn’t just something I didn’t drink—it was something I was taught to be genuinely afraid of. 🍸 So what happens when you leave Mormonism and realize you have absolutely NO IDEA how drinking works? In this episode of OuterSnarkness, I’m telling the story of my first experience with alcohol: what I thought drinking was going to be like, what actually happened, the ridiculous things I didn’t know, and what it was like figuring out alcohol as an adult after a lifetime of the Word of Wisdom.
