I recently embarked on an unforgettable sailing adventure aboard the majestic 3 masted 1874 barque "James Craig". Originally launched in 1874 as the "Clan McLeod", this storied vessel has had a wild past, serving in various capacities before being left to languish in Recherce Bay, Tasmania. After years of rusting away, she was refloated in 1972 and transported to Hobart, finding her way to Sydney in 1980, where she became a beloved sight at Rozelle during her gradual restoration. Finally, in 2001, she emerged as a proud museum ship.
I have no ties to the James Craig or the Sydney Heritage Fleet; I'm just a happy passenger.
