We Are Still Here - Residential School Trailer

Funded by the Canadian government and Christian churches in the 1800's, the residential school system was developed to “kill the Indian in the child”. The last Canadian residential school was shut down as recently as 1996. Our children’s children and their children must know and still remember this history, because they will inherit from us the responsibility of ensuring that it never happens again.
