4 Day backpacking trip in the San Juan National Forest. Luke, Jesse, and myself spend four days backpacking into the Chicago Basin. The trip begins with a vintage train ride from Durango Colorado to Needleton where we are left in the middle of the wilderness to begin our hike. Inside the basin we explore alpine lakes, attempt a 14,000 ft summit, and encounter wild mountain goats.
