Title: It's Time To Be ... Salty. Bible Verse: Matthew 5:10-13 Jesus calls His followers “the salt of the earth” (Matthew 5:13), not because they are cheap or ordinary, but because they are indispensable. In the ancient world, salt was highly valuable, used to preserve, purify, and season, immediately changing whatever it touched. In the same way, Christians are called to make a positive difference wherever they go by bearing witness to God's kingdom. Being “salty” means consistently reflecting Christ in every area of life. While following Jesus comes with a cost—including rejection and persecution—the cost of living in sin is far greater, destroying character, relationships, and ultimately the soul. Jesus calls His disciples to iTo be “salty” is to consistently mirror Christ across every facet of your life. Although walking with Jesus involves personal sacrifice—such as facing rejection or persecution—the alternative of living in sin carries a far more devastating price, ultimately eroding your character, your relationships, and your very soul. Jesus empowers His followers to change the world by first transforming how they relate to others. Disciples are called to impact their communities in three distinct ways: Preserving relationships as active peacemakers, refusing to let bitterness or conflict take root. Purifying relationships by speaking the truth with love, offering forgiveness, and spurring one another toward Christlike growth. Seasoning relationships with kindness, service, and grace, allowing others to taste the joy and peace found in Jesus. This way of living is not for our own benefit, but to lead others toward God and fulfill the Great Commission to make disciples. The ultimate question remains: Will you live a salty life that brings glory to your Father in heaven in every place you go?
