Tyrosine kinase 2 (TYK2) is an important member of the Janus kinase (JAK) protein family.
While other JAKs regulate broader biological processes, like blood cell development and metabolic activity, TYK2 is involved in immune-specific signaling.
Through ongoing research into TYK2, we are developing a better understanding of distinct approaches targeting key drivers of immune-mediated inflammatory diseases, like psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis.
Intended for healthcare professionals for scientific/medical education only. Voiced by Salome Juethner, US Medical Head of Dermatology & Rheumatology at Takeda.
