The Puppet Studio has designed and performed puppets for many movies. In Mighty Joe Young, they performed both the big and small puppets...bit of trivia: Vern Troyer, Mini Me, was in the baby monkey suit. Although some of the images are CGI, to get realistic facial expressions, Disn3y used both an adult in a suit and a full scale Joe with puppeteers in side and behind working the eyes, tongue and mouth.
