RED CAME HIS WAY They warned Red not to stray from the path, linger in the woods or speak to beasts. What they never understood was that she had no intention of obeying. Developed from my original poem Red: She Came This Way, this dark, adult fairytale reimagines Red not as an innocent victim who becomes lost in the forest, but as a woman who knows precisely where she is going, and whom she hopes to find there.
