Choosing your PG branch is one of the biggest decisions you’ll make in your medical career — and for many of us, it comes with a LOT of doubts. “Which branch is best for me?” “Will I regret my choice?” “Should I choose my passion or a more practical branch?” “What if I realise later that I made the wrong decision?” In this video, I talk about why these doubts are completely normal, why you need to learn how to deal with them, and why making an informed decision is more important than finding a “perfect” decision. And the truth is — these doubts don’t necessarily disappear after you enter residency. You may face similar decisions during residency, after completing your MD, while choosing a superspeciality, planning your career, or even deciding where and how you want to practice. The goal is not to eliminate every doubt. The goal is to learn how to make a well-informed decision despite the doubts. Because there may never be a point where you are 100% sure.
