Cycling Piemonte: Alba Loop to Barolo (Day 5) Day 5 of our Piemonte Barolo & Truffles cycling journey takes us through the heart of Nebbiolo country, where the “King of Wines” — Barolo — was born. We leave Alba via a peaceful cycle path, climbing toward Verduno, the first of the historic Barolo villages we pass through. The route rolls easily along ridge roads to La Morra, famed for its Belvedere and panoramic views across the Langhe hills. After a flowing descent, we arrive at the Castle of Barolo for a special tasting in the birthplace of this legendary wine.
