Britain's Got More Talent | Series 6 Episode 1

Following the departures of Michael McIntyre and David Hasselhoff after just one series (both of whom deserved longer on the panel!), Simon Cowell returned as a full-time judge, joined by newcomers David Walliams and Alesha Dixon, alongside returning judge Amanda Holden. However, Amanda's pregnancy meant the auditions didn't quite go according to the usual plan! During the London auditions, Carmen Electra stepped in as a guest judge, although her reception from the audience wasn't exactly the warmest! Meanwhile, the Blackpool and Cardiff auditions went ahead with just three judges. When Amanda returned for the Manchester auditions, the full panel was finally reunited, although somebody had apparently decided to install the judges' illuminated Xs far too high, meaning only the bottom halves and their nameplates could be seen! An absolutely bizarre little detail from this series that I couldn't possibly leave out. As for the judges themselves, David Walliams seemed considerably more switched on and bearable in this series, while Alesha Dixon established herself as a stricter judge than some might remember. And, of course, Simon Cowell was back where he belonged, overseeing the madness. But this is Britain's Got MORE Talent, which means the real chaos happens away from the main show! Stephen Mulhern returns with more unseen auditions, extended performances, backstage interviews, ridiculous games, hilarious interactions with the judges and plenty of his trademark nonsense. Ant & Dec also make frequent appearances, adding even more entertainment to the proceedings. This upload forms part of my ongoing effort to preserve and share classic Britain's Got More Talent episodes, particularly those which have become increasingly difficult to find online. These shows are such a wonderful time capsule of British television, and it would be a shame for all these hilarious moments to disappear. All footage belongs to its respective copyright holders.
