Utah advanced to 19-2 overall on the season and 9-2 in Pac-12 play. This ties the best record through 21 games in school history. Oregon State is now 11-11 on the season and 3-8 in the Pac-12. Utah established the pace of the game early in the first quarter jumping out to a 14-4 lead. The Beavers made a little surge to catch up but the Utes ended the first quarter on an 8-0 run including a made three ball by Kennady McQueen at the buzzer. McQueen's three pointer gave Utah a 22-9 lead going into the second quarter of play. The Utes pushed out for an 18 point lead in the second quarter but the Beavers bounced back with a 6-0 run to end the half and bring the score to 38-27. Utah continued its push in the third quarter maintaining a double digit lead until Oregon State went on an 8-0 run to cut the lead to single digits with a 54-46 score going into the final quarter. The Utes started the fourth quarter on a 7-0 run to push back out for a 15 point lead with seven minutes left. The Beavers then went on a 14-3 run to bring the score within four. With just under a minute left in regulation, Oregon State drained a jumper in the paint to put the score at 66-64, still in the Utes favor. With 10 seconds left the Beavers were able to get another bucket to tie the game. Utah wasn't able to produce in the time remaining and sent the game into overtime. Oregon State outscored Utah in every quarter but the first, with the fourth being the biggest deficit at 20-12. In overtime, the Beavers were the first to get on the board but Utah immediately answered with a made three pointer by Gianna Kneepkens. Kneepkens then turned around and drove from the baseline to execute a textbook reverse layup to keep the lead in favor of the Utes. With 20 seconds left, Alissa Pili drained a pair of free throws to give Utah a 75-72 lead. Oregon State drew a foul for three shots with under one second on the clock. OSU was only able to sink 1-3 and Utah stepped away for a 75-73 win. LEADERS Utah was led by Alissa Pili who had 23 points. This was Pili's sixth consecutive game scoring 20 or more points. Despite having two points at the half, Kneepkens ended the game with 17 points, seven of which were during the overtime period. Kneepkens led Utah on the boards pulling down eight on the night. Jenna Johnson also had double figures for Utah with 11 points. COMPARISON Utah ended the game shooting 36 percent from the field, 36 percent from beyond the arc, and 86 percent from the line. Oregon State finished the game shooting 39 percent from the field, 29 from the three and 71 from the line. Utah and OSU were evenly matched on the boards with both teams pulling down 42. Utah forced just one more turnover then committed at 17-16.
