Rankin/Bass Productions, "Goes Down in History" | Tru-Tone Christmas Light Review | Manza Media

It’s my last video of the Holiday season, folks! In having a channel dedicated to audio, art, and design - I found it not only fitting but essential to speak on my love for the world renowned Rankin/Bass Christmas specials. In this episode, you’ll hear me speak of memories growing up with these delightful Animagic marvels, as well as a brief history on the production company’s rise to fame in the early 60’s. I don’t believe these specials are given their spotlight as much as they deserve, today. I figure I’d spread the love and talk about these specials in my own way. So much time and effort was put into making each one. From the indistinguishably unique melodies of Maury Laws, the voiceover talent, and overall production design - They really make any Christmas season even better, from kids from one to ninety two. Merry Christmas, a safe and happy New Year to you! Special thanks to Tru-Tone for sending me their sample pack of lights to speak on.
