Tretinoin is not a standalone treatment for hair loss and may only be used with minoxidil under medical supervision due to irritation risk.
Aloe vera can soothe and hydrate skin but does not reverse aging or wrinkles.
Simple drugstore routine for very dry winter skin includes a gentle cleanser, rich moisturizer, petrolatum on very dry areas at night, and avoiding hot showers and fragrance.
Keratosis pilaris is common and harmless. Lactic acid, urea, or salicylic acid lotions plus daily moisturizing can help with consistency.
Styes are painful infections, while chalazia are painless blocked oil glands. Warm compresses for 10 to 15 minutes several times daily are the main treatment. Avoid makeup and contact lenses until resolved.
At age 25, true skin laxity is usually minimal. Creams and diet do not correct sagging. Non surgical procedures such as energy based devices, microneedling, injectables, and lasers may help with mild laxity.
Hemosiderin staining causes brown discoloration from iron deposits after bruising or venous issues. Topicals are not effective. Laser treatments are the most effective option, and improvement is gradual.
For post acne marks when vitamin C or niacinamide are not tolerated, options include azelaic acid, licorice root extract, tranexamic acid, and low strength retinoids if tolerated. Daily sunscreen is essential.
Aluminum salts are the only proven antiperspirants. Non aluminum options help with odor but not sweating. Botox, prescription treatments, or iontophoresis may help excessive sweating.
Facial flushing may be early or vascular rosacea. Management includes trigger avoidance, sunscreen, gentle skincare, and prescription or laser treatments if needed.
