my interview with Ponyboi's River Gallo

recorded a really special convo with my friend river gallo — intersex filmmaker + actor — all about their new film ponyboi, which premiere's today June 27th in select cities -- with more to come (check www.ponyboithefilm.com)! we got into the behind-the-scenes process of making the film, the personal stuff that inspired it, and why it means so much to see intersex stories told on the big screen. river also shared some surprises from the journey + what it’s been like to explore identity through art. can’t wait for y’all to hear it 💜 chapters: 00:00 intro + excitement for ponyboi 04:09 mood board + visual inspo 08:34 surprises during filmmaking 13:31 why seeing ponyboi in theaters matters follow pidgeon: instragram.com/pidgeon follow river: instagram.com/rivergallo support me on patreon: patreon.com/pidgeonpagonis where this episode dropped over a week ago, with no bleeps ;)
