Kantheri Jumadi-Banta - Billu Pagari | Jokulesana shakthinagara Nema 2022 ಬಿಲ್ಲು ಪಗರಿ |ಕಾಂತೇರಿ ಜುಮಾದಿ-ಬಂಟ Billu-Pagari: "Billu Pagari" is part of the ritual performed during Nema of KantheriJumadi- Banta. Here, Billu-Pagari is nothing but bow and arrow. Which is directly relevant to hunting. This ritual used to be accompanied by actual hunting of animals. However, the same activity is currently being replicated and performed with the people who have gathered there. So what happens in this ritual is, Daiva catch hold of random people, mostly youngster or children. Then applies the colour on their face, suggesting that the animal(person) belongs to that Daiva. it also plays along with that individual, telling him to dance, kneel down.  Daivas also continually plays along with each other such as, hiding from each other, fighting for the animal, eventually compromising. This ceremony is performed for enjoyment purpose only, not to offend anyone. No one would be harmed as a result of these ritual.
