Join us for a scenic group flight across western Estonia, beginning in the historic capital of Tallinn and ending at the medieval stronghold of Kuressaare on Saaremaa Island. We'll depart Tallinn's Lennart Meri Airport and explore a fascinating mix of medieval architecture, Soviet-era landmarks, rugged Baltic coastlines, nature reserves, remote islands, traditional villages, and one of the best-preserved castles in Northern Europe. I'll be flying the Miltech/Stratoware Bo 105. I recommend any fast, twin-engined helicopter that can cruise at up to 140 knots at 2,500ft such as the EC135, the Dauphin, or the MH--60. 🗺️ *ROUTE:* EETN - Lennart Meri, Tallinn northeast through Väo and Iru, in Tallinn's industrial east north to the Tallinn TV Tower join the Pirita River and follow to its mouth on the Baltic Sea southwest to Kadriorg Palace and neighbouring Kumu Art Museum west to the Port of Tallinn and the Admiral Bridge west to St Olaf's Church southwest to Toompea Castle and neighbouring Alexander Nevsky Cathedral find Freedom Square and follow the main road south through Kitseküla continue southwest following the Route 4 to Saue at Saue turn to follow the road east to Keila continue along the road to Paldiski at Paldiski, west out to sea and cross the Pakri Islands southwest along the coast to Keibu Bay follow the inland road to Riguldi, with the Leidissoo Nature Reserve on our left again follow the coast to Vormsi Island cross the island to Hullo with the Vormsi Nature Park on our left cross the channel to the west, with Hiiumaa Island ahead EEKA - Kärdla airport for a break (handcrafted in WU23) find Route 81 heading south, and keep Pihla-Kaibaldi Nature Reserve on our right at Käina turn right to follow Route 83 south west at Emmaste turn south to cross the Soela Strait we are now over the island of Saaremaa! at Soela, find the road heading southeast to Leisi visit the Angla Windmill Park continue south down the road to Liiva-Putla continue southeast down the road through Saare County to our destination visit Kuressaare Castle EEKE - Kuressaare AFFILIATE DEALS!
