Lonely Woman by Ornette Coleman and a Medieval Scottish Psalm arranged for acoustic guitar.

I first heard Ornette Coleman when I was 19 years young, and this piece has been a favourite of mine ever since. You can hear his band play it on YouTube. I thought I'd give it ago alongside a beautiful medieval psalm from Scotland, Inchcolm Island in fact, quite close to Edinburgh. It dates from the 13th century, and - in Latin - says "Lord, save us from the English"! Apparently English pirates had been attacking the monastery on the island, stealing their food and treasures. I've played this psalm on and off over a few decades...but still they come! :-) The guitar is a Martin 000-28CE, and is tuned to Dm: DADFAD, which I found works best for both pieces.
