Coffee Run - VFR Biggin to Lydd to Biggin - Piper PA-28

Hi everyone, and welcome to the first full-length video on the channel! A couple of weeks ago, my very good friend Christian and I headed out for a flying trip—and a cup of coffee—from Biggin Hill to Lydd Airport and back again. Our aircraft for the afternoon was G-BTID, a Piper PA-28 hired from EFG Flying School at Biggin Hill. Christian was doing the flying on this occasion, while I came along for the journey. As some of you will know, I’m still working towards gaining my own PPL. The clear weather and good visibility made for some lovely flying across Kent, although a busy circuit at Lydd meant making a short orbit on the downwind leg before landing. Unfortunately, our cockpit audio didn’t record during the outbound flight, so that part of the journey is accompanied by music and a little narration. We managed to get the intercom recording working for the return, allowing you to join us for some of the genuine cockpit conversation, radio calls and flying back to Biggin Hill.
