The Mills At Jersey Garden Mall.. who are the Mills, and why are they at Jersey Garden Mall? I for sure don't know but everybody calls it Jersey Garden Mall since we're already accustomed to it. However some locals also call it Ghetto Gardens due to the many Ghetto activities that went on in the mall over the decades. Surprisingly Jersey Garden Mall is ranked 2nd best Outlet Mall in the whole U.S.A.. this was a big shocked to everybody for sure. Like many young teens, I used to work here, multiple locations, GameStop and MetroMart. I remember the day I was clocking into work in the morning and the Jewelry Store on the first floor was getting robbed, this was around 2018 if I remember correctly. Good Times. Anyways here are some fun facts about the Outlet Mall that I got with a quick Google search: The Mills at Jersey Gardens is New Jersey's largest outlet mall, boasting over 200 stores. It's known for its tax-free shopping on clothes and shoes, making it a popular destination for both locals and tourists, especially those coming from New York City. The mall is conveniently located near Newark Liberty International Airport and the New Jersey Turnpike, and even offers shuttle service from the airport. Built on a former landfill: The mall was constructed on what was previously a landfill, requiring extensive cleanup work before development. Strategic location: It's situated in an Urban Enterprise Zone, which allows for a lower sales tax rate, attracting shoppers from nearby areas. Home to the largest Tommy Hilfiger store in the US: The mall features the biggest Tommy Hilfiger store in the country. Features a 20-screen AMC IMAX theater: Beyond shopping, the mall offers entertainment options like a large movie theater. Close to NYC: It's only about 30 minutes from Times Square by bus or car, making it an easy day trip from the city. Popular for layovers: Due to its proximity to Newark Airport, it's a popular spot for travelers with layovers to grab some shopping. Strong annual shopper traffic: The mall attracts a significant number of visitors each year, with some sources claiming it sees nearly 5 times more visitors than the Statue of Liberty.
