Visited Bakersfield Station in California (October 9, 2021) Amtrak Bakersfield Station is the southern terminus of Amtrak California's San Joaquins route. Amtrak Thruway buses connect to Amtrak stations and bus stops throughout Southern California and Nevada. When Amtrak reestablished a passenger service to Bakersfield in 1974, a temporary trailer was set up as a ticket office. The 2nd Amtrak Bakersfield station building was constructed around 1985. The 3rd Amtrak station was constructed about one mile east of the previous site and opened in 2000. #USARailGuide #Amtrak #Station
